of Oslo Invites applicants to submit application for the position of post-doctoral research fellowship in Vaccine development.
Two
post-doctoral candidates funded by the Norwegian Research Council are wanted to
work on a project entitled "protective immunity to Streptococcus
pneumoniae". The goal is to develop better vaccines against pneumococcal
infections.
This project is a collaboration between the CrossTalk group headed by Fernanda Petersen and Karl Schenck (Department of
Oral Biology, The Faculty of Dentistry, University of Oslo), and
national and international collaborators in the UK and Switzerland.
The fellowship period is for 3 years where 90 % is designated research and 10 %
compulsory duty. Expected starting date is September 2015. The main
purpose of post-doctoral research fellowships is to qualify researchers for
work in higher academic positions within their disciplines. No one can be appointed
for more than one specified period at the same institution.

to a Norwegian doctoral degree in relevant fields.
- The selected candidates should have a
strong background in immunology and/or microbiology.
- It is also an advantage to have background
in one or more of the following topics:
- Analysis of B and/or T cell responses
- Vaccinology
- Pneumococcal infection
- Animal and/or human infection models
- Bacterial genetics.
- A good command of English is required.

- In assessing the applications, special

2015, PhD Research Fellowship in Interaction Design at University of Oslo in Norway
Scholarship Introduction
The candidate will carry out research related
to the design and the use of technology intended to support wide participation
and engagement in the evolution of culture among networked urban youth. The
project is part of 11 creative experiments of participative art and
culture-oriented participatory design for the "City of the Future".
The 12 European project partners will implement 11 experimental sub-projects
and conduct a European study about new, technology-enabled forms of
participation. While some projects shed light on the way we perceive our city
space through creating speculative city environments, others analyse problems,
identify challenges and explore interdisciplinary solutions together with the
