WHO/TDR International Postgraduate Scholarship for MPH, 2016-2017
The James P. Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) at BRAC University in Dhaka, Bangladeshis accepting applications for WHO TDR International Post Graduate Training Scheme (TIPS) for its 12th batch of Master of Public Health (MPH) Programme beginning in January 2016. It is a 12 month full-time programme which promotes problem-based experiential learning. The scheme, which is provided by TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases based at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, provides full scholarship. Eligibility
- Nationals/Residents from low- and middle income countries (data.worldbank.org/about/country-and-lending-groups) of WHO South-East Asia and West Pacific regions.
- Applicants should normally be under 35 years of age for TIPS
- Meet the following standard University requirements Admissions Criteria
- Bachelor and/or Masters degree(s) in social sciences including public health, medicine, nursing, midwifery, health sciences or equivalent disciplines
- Excellent academic track record with GPA 3.0 or above
- Proficiency in oral and written English and Mathematics is critical
- Computer literacy, Microsoft Office and data analysis skill is preferred

Coverage/Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship covers:
- One return economy airfare between the home country of the student and Bangladesh;
- Tuition fees and a basic medical and accident insurance;
- Allowance toward recommended learning materials (e.g. text-books, laptop)
- Support for Summative Learning Project (SLP);
- English language course and cultural competence to improve integration in the MPH Programme and overall learning environment of JPGSPH;
- Monthly stipend to cover living expenses equivalent to local living cost.
