Victoria University Graduate Research Scholarships in Australia, 2016

Victoria University is inviting applications for Victoria University graduate research scholarship. Priority will be given to applicants who pursue a research degree in one of Victoria University’s areas of research focus. Both Domestic and International applicants will be contacted in mid December regarding the outcome of their application.

Eligibility

Eligibility for scholarships varies depending on the scholarship, and whether you are a domestic applicant (defined as an Australian citizen/permanent resident/New Zealand citizen) or an international applicant (non-resident).

 All PhD, Professional Doctorate and Masters by Research applicants must meet the University's minimum academic entry requirement of a 70% (Distinction VU standard) average in the most relevant qualifying degree.

 To be considered for a graduate research scholarships in what is always a highly competitive process, applicants are expected to have at minimum 1st class honours (80%+ average) or the equivalent to 1st class honours.

Application Method

The mode of applying is electronically. Applicants need only submit one application to be considered for a graduate research scholarship commencing 2016. The applicants have to follow this procedure:

• Meet minimum academic entry requirements
• Review our Areas of Research Focus
• Prepare your Research Proposal and CV
• Confirm your supervisor
• Submit your application
• Referee reports

Deadline

The application deadlines are:

• International applications open 9am Australian Eastern Standard Time on the 1st of August and close at 5.00 pm on Wednesday 30th September 2015.
• Domestic applications open 9am Australian Eastern Standard Time on the 1st of September and close at 5.00 pm on Friday 30th October 2015.
