UCLan International Excellence Scholarship, UK 2012-2013

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is delighted to announce a new international scholarship scheme for those international students wishing to join a programme of study
commencing in September 2012.

There are a number of different scholarships being offered by the University, and some in partnership with institutions and organisations overseas:

UCLan International Excellence Awards

Who can apply?

New international (non-EU) privately funded fee paying students who will study an undergraduate or postgraduate full-time taught programme of study at the University of Central Lancashire commencing in September 2012.

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2012.

UCLan Iraq and Levant Excellence Awards (Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Occupied Palestinian Territories)

Two 50% scholarships are available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in either Iraq, Iraqi Kurdistan, Jordan, Syra, Lebanon or the Occupied Palestine Territories at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study.

UCLan Egypt Excellence Award 

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Egypt, at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study.

UCLan Indonesia Excellence Award 

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Indonesia, at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study.  

UCLan Mauritius Excellence Award

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Mauritius, at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study.

UCLan Pakistan Excellence Award

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for a one year postgraduate taught programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Pakistan, at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study. 

UCLan Thailand Excellence Award

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Thailand, at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study.

UCLan Uganda Excellence Award

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Uganda, at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study.

UCLan South Africa Excellence Award

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in South Africa, at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study.

UCLan Republic Poly Excellence Award (Singapore)

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for a one year top up programme at the University of Central Lancashire. This award is open to applicants who are currently nationals of, and resident in Singapore, at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study.

UCLan JMECC Excellence Award (Malaysia)

One 50% scholarship is available for a one year top up programme at the University of Central Lancashire. This award is open to applicants who are currently nationals of, and resident in Malaysia at the time of the application and who submit their application through a JMECC office in Malaysia.

UCLan- Nigeria Nuclear Regulatory Authority Excellence Award

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for a one year postgraduate programme at the University of Central Lancashire. This award is open to applicants who are currently nationals of, and resident in Nigeria, and are employed by the Nigeria Nuclear Regulatory Authority at the time of application and enrolment, and is available to applicants to any nuclear related programme.

UCLan - BEB  Excellence Award (Turkey)

One 50% scholarship is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate course. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Turkey, at the time of application, and is available to applicants to any UCLan taught programme of study. The awards are open to applicants who submit their applications through a British Education Bureau (BEB) office in Turkey.

UCLan – Intelligent Partners Excellence Award (Middle East)

One 50% tuition fee scholarship and a 5000 AED cash prize is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who at the time of application are resident in any country where Intelligent Partners has an office (with the exception of India), and who make their application in conjunction with the Intelligent Partners team. Intelligent Partners have offices in the UAE and Qatar with more opening throughout 2012 in Oman and Iraqi Kurdistan. Please see www.intelligentgulf.com for details.

UCLan – 3AG Excellence Award (Nigeria)

One 50% tuition fee scholarship; free counselling and visa advice and a free laptop are available to a successful student making an application to the University of Central Lancashire through the services of 3AG Excellence, an official agency of the university in Nigeria. The award is for applications to the MSc Renewable Energy Engineering programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Nigeria, at the time of application, and who submit their application through an office of 3AG agency in Nigeria.

UCLan - Nigeria Bar Association Excellence Award with B&S Education Services (Nigeria)

One 50% scholarship, free counselling and visa advice and one months accommodation costs in the UK (to a maximum of 400 GBP) is available to a successful student making an application to the University of Central Lancashire through the services of B&S Education Services, an official agency of the university in Nigeria. The award, for a one year postgraduate Law programme at the University of Central Lancashire, is open to applicants who are currently nationals of, and resident in Nigeria, and who are a member of the Nigerian Bar Association at the time of application and enrolment.

UCLan – Go Study Abroad Excellence Award (Ghana)

One 50% tuition fee scholarship; free counselling and visa advice and payment of one month’s accommodation costs (up to a maximum of 400 GBP) in UK are available to a successful student making an application to the University of Central Lancashire through the services of Go Study Abroad in Ghana. The award is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Nigeria at the time of application, and who submit their application through an office of Go Study Abroad in Ghana.

UCLan-Orion EdCon Services Excellence Award (India)

One 50% tuition fee scholarship and free counselling and visa advice are available to a successful student making an application to the University of Central Lancashire through the services of Orion EdCon Services in India. The award is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in India at the time of application, and who submit their application through an office of Orion EdCon Services in India.

UCLan-Wiseway Excellence Award (China)

Two 25% tuition fee scholarships are available to successful students making an application to the University of Central Lancashire through the services of Wiseway in China. The awards are available to students for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. The awards are open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in China at the time of application, and who submit their applications through an office of Wiseway in China.

UCLan - IAE China Excellence Award (China)

One 50% tuition fee scholarship is available to a successful student making an application to the University of Central Lancashire through the services of IAE in China. The award is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. 

Two further awards of 60% discount on service fee are also available.

These awards are open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in China at the time of application, and who submit their applications through an office of IAE in China. 

UCLan- AOJI Excellence Award

One 50% tuition fee scholarship is available to a successful student making an application to the University of Central Lancashire through the services of Aoji in China. The award is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme or the first year of an undergraduate programme. 

This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in China at the time of application, and who submit their application through an office of Aoji in China.

UCLan – INEC award

One 50% tuition fee scholarship is available to a successful student making an application to the University of Central Lancashire through the services of INEC IN Vietnam. The award is available to a student for either a one year postgraduate taught programme. 

This award is open to applicants who are nationals of, and resident in Vietnam at the time of application, and who submit their application through an office of INEC in Vietnam.

UCLan MBA Excellence Award

One 50% scholarship is available to a student applying to join the full-time MBA programme at UCLan in September 2012.  This award is open to international applicants only. 

Vice Chancellor Awards

To reward academic excellence for those students with enhanced academic grades, a further award of 500 GBP will be awarded for each year of study on your chosen programme.  (Separate awards apply to those students progressing from UCLan programmes overseas).

Postgraduate Scholarship

If you have already completed an undergraduate programme of study at UCLan you will be offered a 20% scholarship for your chosen postgraduate taught programme at UCLan in Preston.
