Postdoctoral Scholarship in Mathematics for Life Sciences, France 2012
For the project LabEx LMH, the Jacques Hadamard Mathematics Foundation (FMJH) is offering one or two year scholarships for talented students applying to a postdoctoral position
in Mathematics for the Life Sciences in one of its member institutions (the Labs in Applied or Pure Mathematics of the École polytechnique, École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, IHÉS and Paris Sud University in Orsay). The salary is up to 24,000 euros per year. Laureates will be asked to give 20 hours/year for tutoring session at graduate's level. The appointment will be for one or two years beginning on September, 1st 2012.
Deadlines
Applications for the 2012-2013 FMJH program postdoc are open until Sunday June 3th 2012.
Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection process in the end of June 2012.
Proposal
All subjects concerning the mathematics for life sciences will be considered.
Eligibility criteria
The scholarships are open to
Foreign students (i.e. who do not have the French citizenship) who have or will have completed PhD in mathematics (or related to mathematics) in an academic institution by September 2012;
All students (french or not) who have or will have completed a PhD in mathematics (or related to mathematics) academic institution by September 2012.
The selection will be based on the academic quality and recommendation letters.
Selection process
The selection will be carried out by the FMJH Steering Committee and the heads of the Postgraduate Schools involved in the FMJH.
