Description
The Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarships provide more than 340 annual Scholarships of $1,000 each.The scholarships are designed to recognize the excellence of Alberta apprentices in a trade, and trainees in a designated occupation, and to encourage recipients to complete their apprenticeship or occupational training programs. This Scholarship Program is cosponsored by the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board, Private Industry and Alberta Enterprise and Advanced Education.

Eligibility
Applicants for an Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarship must be both:
- A Canadian citizen or landed immigrant;
- And an Alberta resident, as defined by Alberta Scholarship Programs
- To be eligible for a 2012 Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarship in trades with more than one period of technical training, applicants must:
- Be registered as an Alberta apprentice in a trade
- Have passed their first or subsequent period apprenticeship and industry training exam between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012, and
- Have at least one more period of technical training remaining in their program.
- To be eligible for an Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarship in trades with only one period of training
