2012 UK: Susan Stebbing Studentship in Philosophy at King’s College London
The award honours Susan Stebbing, formerly Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Bedford College London (which merged with King's in 1984).
Each year the Department of Philosophy awards one or more studentships to women graduate students in the Department, taking into account academic merit and financial need.
Applications for each academic year will be invited in the preceding summer.
Value of award
Total amount available is £2,000 in each year.
Specified use
The award is in the form of a stipend.
Application procedure
Applications for each academic year will be invited in the preceding summer.
Required documents:
- a copy of your (academic) CV; and
- a covering letter, addressed to 'The Department of Philosophy funding panel', detailing your current academic status, plans for the forthcoming academic year, and any other information you feel might support your application. You should also mention other sources of funding you have applied for and/or successfully obtained.
