Scheme: Master’s Scholarship in Applied Science at Saint Mary’s University, Canada

Description: 
Beginning your Engineering education at our university is a wise choice. In doing so you enter the Dalhousie Associated University Engineering System, and when you successfully complete your 2-year Diploma of Engineering at Saint Mary's University, you will gain automatic entrance to Dalhousie University, situated just a few blocks away, where you will finish your Engineering degree.

A formal Memorandum of Understanding exists between Dalhousie and each of the Associated Universities. Article 4.0/1 states:
"The Faculty of Engineering at Dalhousie University will treat students from the Associated University programs on an equal basis with students who entered the program at Dalhousie University. Academic merit will be the only deciding factor on admission to disciplines."
After your first year at Saint Mary's University you must choose a particular discipline of Engineering, as the second year program is discipline specific. The disciplines available at Saint Mary's are Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, and Mineral Resources. Two of the courses required for Chemical Engineering are not available at Saint Mary's; however, if you are interested in that discipline, arrangements can be made for you to take them at Dalhousie on a Letter of Permission.

Eligibility/Pre-requisition: 
The candidate should have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields with a focus on Energy Systems, Electrical Machines, Control, Power Electronics and Electrical Network. Experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK is essential. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Note that international students living in Canada may apply for the position.
