OSGC Education Scholarships for USA Students
The Ohio Space Grant Consortium (OSGC) invotes Education Scholarship for US Students.Open to all full-time Junior or Senior undergraduate students enrolled in a STEM-related discipline at a member university. Women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Undergraduate
STEM Scholarships are $3,500 and are paid in two increments during the academic
year at your home campus. Contact your Campus Representative for additional information about how
funds are dispersed at your school. Scholarships begin with the Fall term.
Scholars are required to attend the Annual Student Research Symposium at the
Ohio Aerospace Institute and present their research. Juniors present a poster
and Seniors make a PowerPoint presentation detailing their research project.
Awards are for one academic year, and Junior awards may be renewable for the
following year if the student's academic performance is acceptable, good
progress has been made on the research project with plans for the following
year, and upon approval of the Campus Representative. Current scholarship
recipients who are interested in being renewed as Senior scholars are
encouraged to follow up with their Campus Representative about their school’s
renewal policy. Note that no indirect charges are allowed by the university for
scholarship awards

College of Education at an OSGC participating college or university. manned

in Space, Students Investigate Human Physiology in Space to Increase their
Understanding of the Human Cardiovascular System, How Big Is Our Solar System?
An Exploration of Proportion and Scale for Algebra I, Inquiry-based and
Discovery Learning in Mathematics, Ecology on Mars, Creating a Self-Sustaining
Ecosystem, Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion, Using Proportions and Ratios to Create a
Model of Solar System, Exploring the Orion Spacecraft, Modeling Orbits in the
Solar System, Newton Car, Applications of Ellipses, Geometry and Rockets and
Discovering Properties of Stars: Color, Luminosity, and Temperature.

Mathematics-related teaching discipline at one of the given certification

Application Method
- To be considered for the 2015-2016 Education Scholarship Program, a complete application package consisting of the materials listed below must be submitted by October 15, 2015. Prospective applicants are expected to discuss the program with their university’s Ohio Space Grant Consortium Campus Representative before completing the application. Campus Representatives are listed on the reverse side of this Announcement.
- Completed Education Scholarship Application form, including personal objective statement and education project proposal
- One completed Letter of Recommendation or Education Scholarship Recommendation Form
- Transcript(s)
- It is the applicant’s responsibility to obtain application materials and to request Letters of Recommendations and transcripts in sufficient time to meet the application deadline. There will be no exceptions for late applications.
