Description 

A highly motivated postdoctoral researcher is required for full time qualitative research of healthcare interviews. This one-year post is open to South African AND foreign individuals.

Eligibility

Applicants must have:

1. Successfully obtained their PhD in the health sciences within the last 5 years,

2. First language fluency in isiXhosa, and a fluency in English (both spoken and written language),

3. Extensive experience in qualitative analysis of interview data,

4. Experience with applicable software and analysis of qualitative outcomes,

5. Knowledge of medical and healthcare terminology,

6. Knowledge of the South African healthcare system (Western Cape public sector, highly advantageous),

7. Ability to work independently, and

8. A strong publication record.
