Ahmet Ertegun Memorial Scholarship at University of Oxford, 2012 UK


The Ahmet Ertegun Memorial Scholarship has been established by the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund to provide funding for Turkish students who would otherwise not be able to afford to come to Oxford.
The Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund was established in memory of Ahmet Ertegun, co-founder of Atlantic Records.

Am I eligible?

Nationality: Turkish nationals who are resident outside the EEA
Fee status: All fee statuses
Level of study: Undergraduate
Year of study: New students
Subject: All subjects except medicine
Colleges: All colleges 
Other criteria: Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit. Applicants should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence following their studies.
What does it cover?

Duration: 3 or 4 years depending on course length 
Value: University fees and college fees (if applicable), a grant for living expenses and one return air fare per year
Number: One award will be available 

How do I apply?

You must make an application to the University through UCAS by 15 October 2011 and be successful in gaining a place. You will then need to complete a separate scholarship application form.

Application form: Eligible candidates will be sent a copy of the application form in March 2012
Deadline: 12 noon (UK time) on Friday 11 May 2012
Results: Candidates will be informed in June 201
