Australian Government Scholarships Program

The Australian Government anticipates opening applications for its scholarships program in February 2012 for study to commence in 2013. Applications will close in May 2012.
 

Scholarships are expected to be offered under Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) and Australian Leadership Awards Scholarships (ALAS) schemes.

A compliant IELTS (Academic format) or TOEFL score must be submitted with a scholarship application and remain valid at time of course commencement in 2013.
 

Individuals interested in applying for a scholarship are strongly encouraged to sit for the IELTS or TOEFL exam well in advance of the expected opening of the Australia Awards in early 2012.
 

There is high demand for IELTS or TOEFL testing between March and May. To avoid delays in obtaining a test placement prospective applicants are encouraged to obtain scores early.
