Eligibility:Nationality: Applicants must be Hong Kong permanent residents.
-Applicants must have had his/her permanent home in Hong Kong and also have received education in Hong Kong for a total period of not less than 5 years
-Applicants must be aged between 16 and 30.
-Applicants must be a secondary school, high diploma or associate degree graduate and to pursue undergraduate study in the academic year 2011/12 at a university/institution in Hong Kong as listed below:
-City University of Hong Kong (CityU)
-Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU)
-Lingnan University (LU)
-The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)
-The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd)
-The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)
-The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)
-The University of Hong Kong (HKU)
-Hong Kong Shue Yan University (SYU)

Scholarship Description: Prior to Wai Yin Association being recognized as a charitable organization, the Wai Yin Club had awarded the first scholarship in 1981 to a Hong Kong Polytechnic student for the studying of fashion design at London Saint Martin’s School of Art. This year, the scholarship scheme is set again as “Wai Yin Loving Care Scholarship 2011” and is now opened for students to apply. It aims at recognizing and encouraging academic achievements of full-time undergraduate needy students in Hong Kong.
