Scholarship Description: As Senior Researcher you will participate in a number of research projects and be called upon to lead some of these. We also anticipate that you participate in generating new research project within our overall strategy. You will have considerable amount of freedom to plan your work within the research areas of the program. Supervision of PhD students will be expected. The focus areas of research for the scientist are, collectively: Boundary layer meteorology and the turbulent atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) Theoretical development and practical application of wind profile with modelling of turbulence and Mean values ABL turbulence modelling, from linearized (e.g. Rapid-Distortion Theory) to nonlinear closures Nonlinear modelling (CFD) of the atmospheric boundary layer Air-sea interaction and offshore wind modelling.
