To financially assist a post-graduate student at any New Zealand university who is studying agriculture or silvicultural sciences.

Applicants must be graduates of a New Zealand university and be New Zealand citizens.
The scholarship shall be tenable in any university in New Zealand for postgraduate study in either agricultural science or silvicultural science.

How do students apply?
Application in the first instance should be made to the Scholarships Office at the university at which the applicant is enrolled not later than the first day in October, on the form provided by the Universities New Zealand-Te Pokai Tara.
Every application shall be accompanied by:
(a) Signed Universities New Zealand-Te Pokai Tara Privacy form;
(b) Certified copy of birth certificate and proof of New Zealand citizenship;
(c) Certified copy of academic record;
(d) Statement outlining proposed course of study;
(e) Statement outlining the candidate’s present extracurricular activities and any other particulars that may prove useful to the selection committee.
Candidates should also provide the names of two persons from whom confidential references have been requested.
No scholarship shall be awarded if, in the opinion of the Universities New Zealand-Te Pokai Tara, there is no candidate of sufficient merit applying.
