Eligibility:The applicant should have a valid experimental foundation in molecular cell biology, preferably experience with gene expression, cellular transfection and enzyme quantification.

 

Scholarship Description: The project will identify the modulatory effect of resveratrol (and other naturally occurring compounds) on molecular markers of inflammation and the mechanism of cellular energy sensing, mitochondrial activity and lipid metabolism. Key molecular / cellular players are Sirt1, mTOR and mitochondria metabolism. These mechanisms seem central in the biomedical response of resveratrol.The employment includes up to 840 hours work at the department (teaching, research communication etc.). Salary and other conditions are in accordance with agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
