Description:
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours degree in science, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, allied health or a related discipline to undertake ageing research studies leading to a PhD in the Geoff and Elaine Penney Ageing Research Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital and the Northern Clinical School, Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney.
Eligibility:
Applicants should have a particular interest in basic or clinical research on ageing. Current research strengths of the unit are basic and clinical ageing pharmacology and falls research. Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens.
Amount awarded:
The scholarship is valued at the rate of the Australian Postgraduate Award ($22,860 per annum (tax exempt) in 2011) and may be renewed for up to three years, subject to satisfactory progress.
