Scholarship Description: A post-doctoral research fellowship (SKO/post code 1352) in studies of Islam in the Middle East is available at the Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages, University of Oslo, The successful applicant should in her/his research project work on a contemporary issue related to Islam in the Middle East, focusing on the relationship between religion, politics and ideology. The topic of the project should be relevant to ongoing research at the Department.The main purpose of post-doctoral research fellowships is to qualify researchers for work in higher academic positions within their disciplines. The post-doctoral research fellowship period is 3 years, with a 10% duty component devoted to teaching and administration.
