Eligibility: This studentship is available to UK/EU nationals only. The successful applicant will receive a stipend of £12,000 per Annam for 3 years plus fees at the home/EU rate

Scholarship Description: This 3 year project aims to design, build and test a portable hand-held device to measure gases from human subjects and incorporates a mathematical model to predict total energy expenditure and energy expenditure profiles over a 24 hour period of continuous monitoring. Candidates should have a minimum first or upper second class honours degree (or equivalent) in a suitable branch of Engineering, or the equivalent in a suitable Science/Engineering degree.
