Scholarship Description: Department of Food Science, Faculty of Life Sciences at University of Copenhagen is offering a PhD scholarship commencing 15 September 2011 or soon thereafter. The application deadline is 14 July 2011. Identification of new probiotic yeasts, which have an inhibitory effect on enteropathogens, and investigations of yeast interactions with bacteria. Candidates should have experience with microbial cultivation, molecular biology methods and food microbiology. In addition, experience with yeast fermentation, immunology or bioimaging are an advantage.
