Full-time MPhil Studentship – Horticulture Supply Chain Analysis at Glyndŵr University, UK

Glyndŵr University is seeking to appoint a research student to undertake supervised MPhil research. The one year studentship will be awarded to a suitably qualified graduate who will work on projects associated with the Horticulture Wales Supply Chain Efficiencies project. This project has received funding through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013 which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
The project provides focused, expert support to medium, small and micro businesses involved in both edible and amenity horticulture within Wales. An important part of the project is collating and promoting the use of Market Information within the sector in order to identify new markets, optimise sales and increase efficiency.

The title of the project for which applications are sought is:

Market information within Welsh horticultural supply chains: promoting relevance and use.

Applications are sought from suitably qualified graduates in economics or other analytical disciplines. A background in horticulture, marketing or economics would be advantageous.

The studentship is offered on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will have their tuition fees paid (UK/EU rate or equivalent fee contribution) and will receive a stipend of £13,590.
